Many of you will at some time or other will have read a D C Thomson publication, whether that be the Sunday Post newspaper, or one of the well loved comics, The Beano and The Dandy, which today still play a part in the D C Thomson success story.
Uniquely, D C Thomson is both publisher and printer of is many magazines and comic titles, which are printed by the Gravure process. D C Thomson were /are the only Gravure Printer in Scotland have well over 40 years experience in this printing process.
Investment in the latest state-of-the-art technology has always been paramount to the success of D C Thomson. The most recent investment has seen the installation of two high speed Müller Martini stitching lines, which complement the two 1.9 metre KBA Gravure Printing presses, situated in our main production plant in Dundee.
We have been active in the commercial printing arena since the early 90’s and have over that time produced several million brochures and catalogues for the mail order, travel and retail sectors.
We appointed, KSL Gravure Print Sales (gravure-printing.co.uk) to represent us in the gravure marketplace, and are pleased to support this new website, which details our comprehensive list of Plant, and in particular the products that we feel are suitable for our presses.
